Our Founder
Brandon Salinas
Brandon M. Salinas is a dedicated trumpet player and music arts educator based in the Rio Grande Valley. With many years of experience teaching both marching and concert bands, Brandon has worked with programs across the region, including Mission Veterans Memorial HS, Edinburg HS, Edinburg HS Indoor Winds, Edinburg North HS, Edcouch Elsa HS, and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Marching Band. He also serves on the administration and instructional staff of Vaquero Winds, a WGI Independent World Class Indoor Winds ensemble.

As a performer, Brandon has been featured with ensembles such as the Rio Grande Valley Jazz Orchestra, the McAllen Wind Ensemble Brass Quintet, and has been a featured soloist with Vaquero Winds for three years. He also marched with the world-renowned Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps in 2023 and 2024, contributing as a featured soloist to the corps’ second DCI World Championship and their first-ever Jim Ott Best Brass Award and John Brazale Best Visual Performance Award.

Brandon holds a bachelor’s degree in Health from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and while continuing to pursue a career in the healthcare field, he remains committed to inspiring young musicians through performance, education, and mentorship.
